Hello!  

So, it seems like I have been able to update only once a month during this very busy con season and it
will finally be over in less than 2 weeks!!! I'm not saying it was bad, on the contrary it has been the best ever!
but since my con/event season started back in February, at this point I'm tired and broke so I need to recover because
October will be a very busy month. During October I will be trying to attend Aki con, Mickey's Halloween Party,
Yaoi con and Long Beach Comic Con. The only one for sure right now is Yaoi Con because is cheap mostly and
because I wouldn't need to request days off from work. Halloween party and LBCC depends on my financial situation
and the one that is still unsure is Aki con since I requested the days off and it got denied. I will try to request it again just
in case because I want to go >_<.  After that no cosplay until maybe Anime LA or Katsucon 2012.

During the 4th of July weekend I attended Anime Expo in Los Angeles, CA. I have to say this years AX was great.

When AX first moved from Long Beach to LACC was a disaster, I remember the first year in 2008 I hated AX.
I had such a bad time, everything was a mess, no organization and nothing to do at all!!!
I went back in 2009 only for one day, was able to enjoy the AMV contest and in 2010 I attended for 2 days only just because at this con I see friends I don't see often and they have an awesome artist alley. This year I was hesitant about attending because I was still disappointed with the con.
I had friends coming, interesting special guests and wanted to attend some of the events. So, I decided to attend all 4 days
again which I hadn't done since 2007. REGRETS NOTHING!!! 0_0

The convention was awesome, had an amazing time. I was able to visit the artist alley, dealers hall, the awesome
dance at the Nokia Club, the masquerade, actually being able to eat and sleep properly every day,
got Kalafina autographs, cosplay, photoshoots, AMV contest and much more!!!

Day 1:

Due to very heavy traffic arrived later than expected. Checked in at hotel and meet up with *Valdrein
Went to the con center to pick up badge but there was a huge line!!! so, spend most of the afternoon just walking around
with ~maggifan and *Valdrein. They were wearing their Pokemon and Digimon outfits which confused many
people lol!

Visited the food trucks were I had some delicious Italian rolls or something. Picked up badge and headed back to
the hotel to rest. Meet up with ~WaterPuzzle and ~Verie who were also roomies. Also, meet up with Nathaly and got to see ~Phantom-Shadow every day!  Later we had dinner at Dennys after walking blocks looking for a Carl's Jr that ended up being inside a shopping mall and it was closed by the time we got to it >_<
After dinner went back to the hotel and helped ~maggifan to hand sew some of the details in her Oz costume.


Day 2:

I wore my newest costume Alice from Pandora Hearts.
We had plans to have a photo shoot in a local graveyard but when we asked for permission they told us they wanted $5000 and insurance WTF? we told them it was non profit and they said they are profitable so we had to pay. o_0

I did a photo shoot for ~maggifan and !punchinist  in their Digimon costumes

We got to see Miguel, Frank and Emily for some evening snacks in our room!

Had dinner at this restaurant called Yarhouse, delicious food and drinks!!!



Attended the AX Dance at the Nokia Club, it was amazing!!! The Djs were epic and the music and environment perfect! After the dance we were tired so we headed to the hotel to rest.


Day3:

This day for some reason I woke up sick, I was feeling really bad. ~maggifan ~Raphiel4-u and *Valdrein left to the con center early and I stayed to rest a little more.

I wore my Vincent costume this day. I can't believe this costume was not hot at all! It was very comfortable and I loved it!  *_*

Had a photo shoot with *Valdrein as Jack and ~maggifan as Gil



We got to see *Bekalou and ~thiefbydesign  who haven't seen in a long time!!!




I also got to finally meet ~Benihime we have talked for so long here on DA
After going around for a while more went back to the hotel where we had pizza dinner!
We wanted to go to the masquerade but didn't want to pay to see it because I don't think is an event that attendees should pay to get in.
So, we were walking to the tickets office to see if they were going to have any tickets for free and then a guy came in with free tickets.
We got in and wow! the Nokia Theater is awesome! I would love to perform on that stage!!!
When we got in they were already on entry 4 or 5. We stay until entry 30 or so and then we left. It was kind of a disappointment, I though maybe because of the main prize there were going to be amazing entries like at Fanime but no. And then my favorite entry didn't win first place!!!
I was like WTF??? because seriously it was the best and I think it was BS it got 2nd place buuu! >_<

After the masquerade we spent some time in the evening with AL, ~WaterPuzzle and ~Verie just chilling and talking at the con center until they told us to leave. Then spent the rest of the evening with *Valdrein, ~xXKay-chanXx and ~AngeliqueAlene  having a great time until we went back to the hotel to sleep!


Day 4:


After packing, getting super mad at the stupid service I had at the Luxe and finally checking out went to the con center to spend the last day.

This day was officially our 5th anniversary cosplaying for my group NBI COSPLAY  



We had plans to have cake but couldn't find a nearby place to buy it =/

Spent most of the time at the dealers hall and walking around

Did a mini photo shoot for ~maggifan and :devsonifan2000: in their Spongebob costumes




I also  did a photo shoot for *Valdrein in her Cross Marian costume

After the photo shoot we said good byes and attended the AMV Contest. This year there were many awesome videos, it's been a while since I have been to a AMV Contest. I really miss participating in them, I will try to start making AMVs again for next years conventions. After the AMV contest we headed back home.

It was awesome I got to see so many friends and got to finally meet new ones!!!

About 2 weeks ago I attended Comic Con for the 7th time!!! IT WAS EPIC!!!! *_*

This is my home con and every year is just amazing with everything it has to offer. I did so much but I will write about it in my next journal.
