Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Anime Expo 2011!!!!

Hello DeviantArt!!!!

Haven't update at all since Fanimecon, this has been a very busy month.
I haven't upload many pictures either from the costumes I wore at Fanime, still waiting on some more pictures and then I will start uploading them.

So, update:

The week after Fanime I attended along with ~maggifan, ~Raphiel4-u and ~musicpro20  the event
called Sonic Boom at the LA Live in Los Angeles, CA. It was a party hosted by SEGA to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sonic The Hedgehog.
The party was AMAZING!!!! It was wayyyy better than I ever expected!

I got to meet the creator of Sonic Yuji Naka and the band Crush 40!!! They had such an amazing concert, the venue was awesome, the game looks amazing and it was fun!!!  I will be posting some pictures after AX   <33

This coming weekend is Anime Expo and AM2!!! Both cons happening just 25 miles from each other LOL!
At first I wanted to attend both because I'm not very fond of AX's location and wanted to check out the new con.
BUT! I won't be attending AM2 at all, I will only be attending AX all 4 days. I don't like how things are being
run at AM2 and looks very disorganized. So, not planning to spend money getting angry at a con.
It's been a while since I last attended AX for the whole weekend, since It moved from Long Beach back in 2008.
I really don't like that place and is not because is "expensive" it really isn't if you compare it to like Comic Con
that I have been attending every year for  the past 8 years but there are no hotels or good food places very close by.
If it wasn't because of the food trucks and Little Tokyo, I won't be attending at all!

Will be arriving Friday early morning to pick up badge and check in at hotel with awesome roomies!
Then might try out for AX idol -_-  Also, plan to attend the AMV contest as usual and will see what else!

Still deciding what to wear on what days but so far these are the costumes I'm most likely to take:

Vincent Nightray - Pandora Hearts with ~maggifan as Gilbert

Alice - Pandora Hearts with *Valdrein and ~maggifan for a funeral adventure!!!

Solva - Needless - Only wore this costume once before and I liked it a lot, is very comfortable!

Ai chan - After School Nightmare - Still unsure...

And possibly another costume
